Gerry Gunnin Professional Achievement Award
The Gerry Gunnin Professional Achievement Award recognizes the AHP Rockies & Southwest Region member who exhibits a strong conviction of ethics, both personally and professionally.
Following in the tradition established by the national AHP Si Seymour Award, candidates must:
- Exhibit a strong conviction of ethics both personally and professionally.
- Demonstrate leadership abilities within our profession.
- Represent our industry in a professional, respectful manner to others in our community as well as the nominee's community.
- Have been employed in the health care industry for a minimum of five years.
- Be a current member of AHP.
Outstanding Newcomer Award
This award serves as an endorsement of accomplishments and background that a new professional brings to our industry. Award candidates must:
- Have developed or enhanced a current program at their hospital.
- Bring to the position a background that exhibits a personal belief in volunteerism and philanthropy.
- Demonstrate support of the community through personal involvement in civic organizations or projects that evidence interest in the future of the community.
- Be employed in the health care industry no longer than five years upon acceptance of this scholarship.
- Be a current member of AHP.
