Government Relations Updates

> HHS proposes HIPAA regulation changes including expansion of fundraisers' access to patient information.

Comments due September 13th

On July 8, 2010, HHS/OCR announced proposed modifications to the HIPAA Privacy Rules, including strengthening the fundraising opt-out requirement and potentially expanding fundraisers' access to patient data. HHS is seeking comments from health care providers and fundraisers. Learn More.
