December 2009 Survey. In December 2009, AHP surveyed 4,000 U.S. and Canadian health care development professionals to see how they had fared in 2009 and the impact of the recession on fundraising programs and results. The vast majority reported being negatively affected by the economy, but through increased program activity and program adjustments, over half were able to maintain their original 2009 giving projections. More members reported reductions in operating budget and staff as a result of the recession, than was projected by members in the 2008 survey. Download 2009 Survey Results.
