
The AHP Si Seymour Award is the highest honor in the field of health care development. It is presented annually to the member of AHP who has shown outstanding leadership in philanthropy and AHP.
Nominations for the 2012 Si Seymour Award are currently being accepted. All nominations are due by June 22, 2012.
The Award Committee will use six criteria in determining the winner for 2012.
The candidate should:
- be a member in good standing or representative of a member firm in good standing who has maintained development professional membership for a minimum of ten years during his or her career;
- be a successful fund raiser, demonstrated by documented dollars raised;
- have a statesmanlike quality, embodying the recognized traits in leadership in our profession;
- represent the profession well to other professionals, and to the candidate's community;
- have made continuing contributions to the Association by holding office, publishing articles, teaching at conferences, etc.; and
- have improved in some way the level of professionalism in the Association.
Nominees are reconsidered for a two year period and then applications must be resubmitted.
