Development Officer, Prospect Research and Business Systems

Salary: Based on Experience.  
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or combination of experience and education.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in research, preferably in a health care setting or non-profit environment.
  • Sound knowledge of research and fundraising practices.
  • Working knowledge of and experience with Raiser’s Edge or similar database systems is an asset.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while inputting large quantities of data.
  • Excellent computer and software skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Raiser’s Edge database software including experience with online databases such as I-Wave and Big Online.
  • Understanding and commitment to competencies in the Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement skills sets are highly desirable.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced professional environment and to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage and conduct all research (profiles, reports, special projects etc.) on individuals, corporations, foundations, organizations and groups and manage all print and electronic subscriptions and ensure this info is recorded accurately in Raiser’s Edge.
2. Manage and conduct prospect research identification to identify new donor and volunteers.
3. Ensure the integrity of data in database – ongoing management of data in Raiser’s Edge.
4. Develop the tools necessary to maintain an informative prospect pipeline that relates directly to the goals and financial targets of West Park Foundation
5. Work with the Development Officer, Business Systems to input gifts and other financial information into Raiser’s Edge and completion of donor acknowledgement process.
6. Coordinate reporting and tracking of budgets and other financial items regarding the Campaign team.
7. Support the Vice President, Campaign, in administrative functions, including scheduling, report preparation, team management, leadership management, and other campaign-related activities. 
8. Perform other duties as assigned.
