We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Manager of Special Events.
Responsibilities include:
- Planning, coordinating, executing, evaluating and strategizing all foundation and community events in support of the Foundation’s fundraising efforts.
- This position reports to the Director of Major Giving.
- This position will oversee various volunteer group activities, cultivation events, hospital and mock-up room tours and events, community outreach events, and the primary fundraising event, The Night of Nights annual gala supporting Palomar Pomerado Health.
- The Manager of Special Events will foster strong working relationships with the Gala Chair, Gala Volunteers and PPH Marketing department to develop goals and objectives and manage corresponding projects.
- This position will be responsible for the recruitment and cultivation of event participants and volunteers, including securing event sponsorships and underwriting.
- The Manager of Special Events identifies and solicit prospects for in-kind and auction donations for gala and other Foundation events.
- Utilizing Raiser’s Edge and Maestrosoft Auction Pro, Manager of Special Events will be responsible for maintaining and managing all event data and generating reports as needed.
- The Manager of Special Events will be responsible for adhering to project budgets and timelines for special events.
- Work hours may extend into the evenings or weekends.
