The AHP Development Primer is a full-day workshop offered at regional conferences and the annual conference. It provides a comprehensive overview of health care philanthropy. The morning program will begin with a look at health care philanthropy as a profession and will touch on the psychology of giving, professional ethics, and organizational models. Throughout the afternoon, you will learn about the practice of development. Topics will include annual giving, planned giving, capital campaigns, major gifts, grateful patient programs, and special events. Sessions will examine the characteristics of constituent groups such as individuals, corporations, and foundations. Each attendee is provided with a CD of reference material and a bound copy of notes. You can purchase the CD and notes alone in the AHP Online Store.
