This workshop, which provides a comprehensive overview of health care philanthropy, is designed for those new to philanthropy or new to health care philanthropy. The morning program will examine health care philanthropy as a profession and touch on the psychology of giving, professional ethics, and organizational models. The development practice will be covered in the afternoon, including annual giving, planned giving, capital campaigns, major gifts, grateful patient programs, and special events. The characteristics of constituent groups such as individuals, corporations, and foundations also will be covered.
The program fee includes the all-day workshop, the AHP Primer CD of resources, continental breakfast, breaks, and lunch.
