Optional Event: Sunday Morning Social Run Walk

Sunday, June 13, 7:00 am
AHP gets moving Sunday morning with an informal run/walk in the Lenox area. Bring your warmed up muscles for this brisk social event. The course will have predetermined two and three mile route(s). So lace up your sneakers and bring a friend to the hotel lobby where we will launch. You’ll be back in plenty of time for the morning’s official start. Please contact Jim Kaltenbach with questions: jkaltenbach@ghs.org

Optional Event: Golf Tournament

Sunday, June 13, 8:30 am
Sponsored by Metal Décor and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta
Arrive early for the conference and “swing” into action at the fabulous Bears Best Golf Club. Ranked the #1 public golf venue in Atlanta and touted as a Top 10 “That You Can Play” by Golf Magazine, Bears Best is an easy 20 minute drive from our hotel in Buckhead. Come on out for a day of genteel competition and friendly networking with your colleagues.

Tournament format will be a best ball four person scramble. All skill levels are welcome, from beginner to advanced. Trophies will be awarded to the first and second place teams and prizes will be given to the longest drive and closest to the pin holes for men and women. In addition, a $10,000 super prize will be awarded for a hole in one on a designated hole. The winner could be you!

Tournament cost is $85 per player and includes cart and practice balls. A cash charge food and beverage cart will be available on the golf course. Please make your check payable to AHP. All players must be registered for the tournament by May 13, 2010. This is a can’t miss golf venue and we are limited to 28 players so please register early. All players will tee off at 8:30 am with a shotgun start. No refunds can be given after May 23rd. Please indicate your golf handicap when you register.

For directions and more information about the Bears Best Golf Club, please see www.bearsbest.com. All tournament questions can be addressed to Paul Dyer at 813–649–9846 or e-mailed to pgdredco@verizon.net.

Optional Special Evening Event: An Evening in the Garden of Good…and Doing Good*

Monday, June 14, 6:00 pm
For our excursion off site, we will climb aboard charter buses and travel to a private reception at one of Atlanta’s premier private gardens. You will be in awe of the 21/2 acres of meandering woodland trails full of perennials, annuals, water features and landscape plantings of every description. This home’s green and colorful oasis also features Southern Living style seating areas and whimsical groupings of garden sculptures along its paths. Enjoy a dinner buffet and wine tasting in this beautiful setting. No wonder the Atlanta Botanical Garden listed it first on their signature Garden Tour last summer. Join your AHP “southern family” for this amazing opportunity in an exquisite environment.

*Tickets are $55 per person. Tickets are non-refundable. You must register by June 1 to attend this event. Space is limited to 100 people. The ticket price includes transportation, buffet dinner and access to the gardens. An Italian wine tasting and beer also available as well as non-alcoholic beverages. Wear your comfortable garden attire including comfortable shoes!
