Dr. Jack Musselman, Director of the Center for Ethics and Leadership (CEL) and Associate Professor of Philosophy, St. Edward's University
Should you return a generous gift from an impolite donor? What if he says something sexist or racist on a hot microphone about one of your doctors? What if he has a DUI? Is named in a #MeToo tweet? Or is accused of assault? Convicted? What if it is a really, really big gift that will transform health care in your town? And what if the donor has repented and really and truly changed his ways?

This one-hour, interactive presentation will examine the moral (rather than legal) ways health care fundraisers might respond to these questions. In a robust discussion moderated by a philosophy professor who teaches and researches moral reasoning, we will together explore ways professionals in our field might answer such questions.
