An AHP member benefit that raises money for your organization.
 |
Every time an online shopper goes to the shoppingmall and purchases an item from one of hundreds of popular retailers, your organization receives a contribution!
The membership benefits of the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP) go way beyond professional education, tools for advancement and a legislative voice. AHP also helps your organization raise funds with an online shopping vehicle that is simple to use. Each week, thousands of consumers are purchasing business, household and personal items on the Internet. These same people now have a way to contribute to the AHP member organization of their choice just by making these purchases through the shoppingmall. |
How does the shoppingmall work?
It’s simple. It works like any other online shopping vehicle except that now your organization benefits from the experience. AHP and its partner Fundlink, LLC, in conjunction with more than 1,300 major retailers, created an online shopping mall Web site. Consumers enter the shoppingmall and choose to shop from stores such as Target®, Macy’s®, Best Buy® or Expedia®. Before they enter a retail site, they are asked to choose an AHP member organization that will benefit from their shopping experience. Once the designation is made, consumers are sent directly to the retailer of their choice to start shopping. A portion of each sale is contributed by the merchant to the designated AHP member organization.
Consumers are not sent to a reseller nor are the prices any different. The only difference is the starting point of the shopping experience. Shoppers begin at the shoppingmall in order to designate an AHP member organization to benefit from their shopping. Then they enter the retailer’s Web site.
