Susan has more than 20 years of experience as a leader in healthcare philanthropy, preceded by extensive leadership positions in higher education. She has served institutions throughout the United States. Susan has held leadership roles at Arizona State University, Mayo Clinic, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences, Providence Health and Services and City of Hope Susan is known as a program builder, culture shaper and transformative giving fundraiser. She particularly enjoys mentoring, coaching and shaping the next generation of fundraisers and philanthropic leaders.  

Susan is recognized as a thought leader in healthcare philanthropy, serving in several leadership roles for AHP, is a CASE Laureate and Crystal Apple award-winning speaker and a contributor to a number of advancement publications.  

She is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (Latin American Studies), holds a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Communication and a PhD in Public Administration, focusing on Public Policy and Organizational Development.
