Grant Fundamentals: Finding Opportunities & Proposal Writing

About the Course

A strategic grants program is a key part of the funding mix for healthcare foundations. This first session in a new series from AHP combines expert instruction, practical tools, and real-world examples to explore the fundamental elements of a successful grant strategy.

In Grant Fundamentals: Finding Opportunities & Proposal Writing, you’ll learn how to:

  • Identify grant opportunities that align with organizational priorities
  • Evaluate funder fit
  • Strategically interpret RFPs, and
  • Develop compelling proposals that resonate with funders.

Led by Loren Bouchard, CFRE, chief development officer for foundation relations and principal giving at the Banner Health Foundation, this session is designed specifically for healthcare philanthropy professionals seeking to build a more intentional and effective grants strategy.

The session also includes an extended discussion and Q&A with an experienced funder, offering you a unique opportunity to hear directly what funders look for in successful proposals and long-term funding partnerships.
