which our members draw the skills and information they need to succeed. Education AHP gathers thousands of development officers from North America at conferences to collaborate on fundraising. AHP programs include:
Annual International Educational Conference Three days of sessions covering fundraising, marketing, planning, and communications. Regional Conferences Sponsored by AHP's seven regions, these conferences give members a change to exchange ideas and information with colleagues from the same geographic area. Development Primer Designed for those new to the health care industry, health care administrators, or those wanting a refresher course on the fundamentals of advancing philanthropy in today's changing health care environment. The Advanced Course in Health Care Philanthropy The AHP Advanced Course is designed to serve as a review for development professionals who have five or more years of experience in the field and who desire to improve their knowledge and skills in the intermediate to advanced level. It is also designed to serve as one of the tools available to assist development professionals to prepare for the CFRE examination. AHP Institute for Healthcare Philanthropy Six days of intensive study under one of six tracks: The Fundamentals of Resource Development, Annual Giving, Major Gifts, Capital Campaigns, Planned Giving, and Fundraising Management.

Trustee Leadership & Philanthropy Forum A unique Forum tailored to the needs of today's distinguished Trustees, CEO's, and senior-level development professionals. Specialty Programs AHP hosts conferences for specialized groups such as the Health Systems Development Network and the Long-term Care Community.
Professional Certification AHP is a founding organization in the Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) program. AHP also offers the highest certification honor, the Fellow (FAHP). Research AHP provides data on the levels of giving to health care and health care foundations, costs of funds raised, trends in health care, and compensation for resource development professionals. The Resource Information Center (RIC) is a clearinghouse of books, periodicals, articles, case statements, sample job descriptions, and other information related to health care resource development. Government Relations The Government Relations Program informs members of pending regulations and legislation affecting health care philanthropy. AHP Foundation The AHP Foundation helps determine the future growth and development of your profession. The programs the Foundation supports increase awareness of philanthropy and fundraising.
AHP Foundation Scholarships The AHP Foundation has designated funds for the sole purpose of providing scholarship assistance to members of the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy
