 AHP Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference
Conference Chair Welcome
“A Bridge to Fundraising Success: Building Champions in the Steel City.”
We all strive to be champions of philanthropy at our institutions and this conference is guaranteed to help you strengthen the skills you need to make that possible. Competition for fundraising dollars is at an all-time high these days, which is why it is so important to continue developing our professional skills and to network with other fundraisers. The Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP) is a terrific resource for accomplishing both of those goals and one of the best tools it offers is the regional conference.
As professional fundraisers, we all know the joy that comes from helping a prospective donor match their interests and financial means to our programs. What better city for our regional conference to be held in than Pittsburgh, PA, which in many ways was the birthplace for philanthropy through the likes of benefactors such as Henry John Heinz, Andrew Carnegie, and Andrew Mellon!
As your conference chair, I am delighted to introduce a conference program that has been designed by fundraisers for fundraisers. Through the efforts of a talented and well-connected committee, this conference offers educational tracks focused on Campaigns, Major Gifts, Annual Fund/Special Topics, and Executive Leadership. In addition, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a festive opening reception and a special Monday night dinner to help you further network. For those wanting a more intensive experience, we are again offering the pre-conference primer workshop, which provides an excellent overview of the components of health care fundraising.
A special thanks goes to the conference’s signature sponsor, CCS, and to all the generous sponsors who are helping to make this conference possible.
You won’t want to miss this opportunity, so set aside June 1–3 and become a fundraising champion in Pittsburgh!
