Sarah Fawcett-Lee, FAHP, CFRE

Sarah Fawcett-Lee, FAHP, CFRE, is senior vice president and chief philanthropy officer at Virtua Health—the largest healthcare provider in southern New Jersey. She has spent her entire career as a professional fundraiser, including the past 20 years in healthcare philanthropy. Most recently, she served as regional vice president at MedStar Health based in Maryland, where she was a member of the philanthropy executive team. Sarah was integrally involved in developing MedStar’s progressive physician engagement and grateful patient program. Previously, she was vice president for philanthropy at Mercy Health Services and director of major gifts at Sheppard Pratt Health System—both located in Baltimore.  

Sarah earned a master’s degree from the College of William and Mary in Virginia, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Hull, United Kingdom. She is a past president of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Maryland Chapter, and has been a faculty member and assistant dean of the Madison Institute since 2014.

Lesley Heighway, MBA, FAHP, CFRE 

Since 2011, Lesley Heighway has dedicated her career to the healthcare needs and the surrounding region through her leadership of the Peterborough Regional Health Centre(PRHC) Foundation. As President & CEO, she leads a team of passionate and dedicated professionals. Together with the community, they’ve raised $30 million over the last five years to ensure world-class healthcare remains the standard. 

Lesley is known and respected for being a champion of innovation, a strategic and visionary leader, and leading her organization to new and unprecedented heights of financial success. A graduate of the University of Ottawa and Northwestern University (Chicago), Lesley holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, a Bachelor of Education degree, and a Master of Business Administration degree. Lesley serves as a member of the AHP Canada Council and a mentor with the AFP Toronto Chapter.

Miller 2019 headshot

Crystal Hinson Miller, MA, CFRE, FAHP

Crystal Hinson Miller, senior vice president for Indiana University Health and president of the IU Health Foundation, leads system efforts to strengthen and expand the role of philanthropy within IU Health hospitals and communities. Before joining IU Health in 2017, she served as associate dean for advancement at the University of North Carolina’s Gillings School of Global Public Health and executive director of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Public Health Foundation, Inc. 
 
During her time at UNC, Miller served UNC Health Care and the UNC School of Medicine, including stints as director of behavioral health philanthropy and vice president for children’s programs with The Medical Foundation of North Carolina, Inc. She started her career with the Appalachian State University Foundation. 
 
A native North Carolinian, Miller is an alumna of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received her master’s degree with honors from Appalachian State University. She became a Certified Fund Raising Executive in 2003 and completed her fundraising management certificate work through AHP’s Madison Institute for Healthcare Philanthropy in 2014.
