Development Primer

If you're new to healthcare development (under five years experience), or are support staff and board members in need to understand the elements of healthcare development, this course is for you. 

 

The Fundamentals of Healthcare Development 

This fast-paced, fundamental course focuses on the basic elements of healthcare philanthropy and the role of development in a healthcare organization. It covers all the major areas of healthcare development, including: major, planned, and annual giving; capital campaigns; policies; finance; marketing; and many other topics.

The course is highly recommended for professionals with less than five years experience in healthcare philanthropy, and for support staff and board members who need to understand the elements of healthcare development. 

The Development Primer is available as an on-demand online course and in person at Convene Canada and the AHP International Conference. 

 

About the Course

The on-demand course consists of seven hour-long sessions, which provide a full introduction to healthcare fundraising. Earn up to 7.0 CFRE continuing education points for completing the Development Primer.
