A ROOF OVER THE WISCONSIN IDEA

With more than 135,000 square feet of meeting space on the shores of Lake Mendota, Pyle Center is more than your typical conference center – it’s where the Wisconsin Idea comes to life. Everything from multimedia presentations and multi-day conferences to advanced distance education systems and active learning labs happen here.
 

Location of Classes and Meals

All classes are held at the Pyle Center, 702 Langdon Street. Most meals are also served at the Pyle Center, except for Monday morning's breakfast and general session, which will be held at the Great Hall in the Memorial Union, which is within walking distance of the Pyle Center.

Airport Information

The closest airport is the Madison-Dane County Airport (MSN), which is 20 minutes from the hotels by car. Some students choose to fly into the Milwaukee airport (MKE), and rent a car for the week. The Milwaukee airport is about an 80-minute drive from Madison.

Attire

The attire at the Madison Institute is business casual. We strongly recommend bringing a jacket or light sweater since temperatures can fluctuate in the air-conditioned meeting rooms.
