Shannon Duval, FAHP, CFRE

About Shannon

Shannon Duval is a 26-year philanthropy professional, having served each of those years in health care philanthropy. Most recently, Duval served as the Senior Vice President and Deputy Chief Philanthropy Officer for CommonSpirit Health, one of the nation's largest nonprofit health systems. Duval has represented charities ranging from academic medicine to national health charities, and community-based health care. Currently, she is the principal and owner of Good Today Better Tomorrow Advisers, LLC, where she works to advance philanthropy best practice across the nonprofit community. 

Duval serves as vice chair of the Board of Trustees of her alma mater, Luther College, and holds master’s degrees from Indiana University and Drake University Law School. Duval and her husband reside in the greater Denver, CO area with their two teenage sons, and enjoy hiking, traveling, and time spent with family and friends. 

 


 

Pamela R. Maroulis, FAHP, CFRE

About Pamela

Pam Maroulis is president and principal consultant at Accordant. She brings nearly 30 years of philanthropy experience, including a wealth of expertise in major gift cultivation, campaign management, grateful patient programs, physician engagement and culture alignment. She excels in helping clients adapt to and thrive among the constant changes within the health care sector. With a focus on relationship cultivation, Pam enjoys and succeeds in the collaboration and partnership creation among and within health care organizations. 

Before joining Accordant, Pam spent fifteen years in philanthropy leadership as Vice President of Philanthropy at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and in various leadership roles at Inova Health Foundation. She also has prior experience in various management positions in independent school and higher education philanthropy at August Preparatory Day School, Baylor School, Foxcroft School, and Georgetown University, where she was responsible for multiple significant campaigns. She has been an active member of the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP) since 2005, where she has served as conference chair, presenter, and event faculty. She has a Master of Public Administration from George Mason University and a Bachelor of Science in psychology from the University of Tennessee, and in her free time can be found in a gym watching her high school daughter play basketball.


 

Lynnie Meyer, RN, EdD, FAHP, CFRE

About Lynnie

Lynnie Meyer, R.N., Ed.D., FAHP, CFRE, oversees Norton Healthcare’s community initiatives and philanthropy. As chief development officer, a position she has held since 2004, she leads the operations of the Norton Children’s Hospital Foundation and the Norton Healthcare Foundation. The foundations support the needs of Norton Children’s Hospital and the adult-service hospitals of Norton Healthcare. Under her leadership, the foundations have generated more than $400 million in support of Norton Healthcare’s mission of service to the community.

Prior to joining Norton Healthcare, Lynnie served as president and CEO of The Center for Women and Families in Louisville. She has held positions with Caritas Health Services, University of Louisville Hospital, Caretenders and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Lynnie earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing and master’s degree in nursing administration from Bellarmine University in Louisville. She also holds a doctorate in leadership education from Spalding University. She is a graduate of Leadership Louisville, Bingham Fellows and Leadership Kentucky, and is a certified fundraising professional by CFRE International.

In 2008, Lynnie was selected as one of 20 nurses in the nation to participate in the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Executive Nurse Fellows program, an advanced leadership experience for nurses in senior executive roles. She was inducted into the Bellarmine University Gallery of Distinguished Graduates and in 2023 was named Association for Fundraising Professionals Outstanding Fundraising Professional of the Year.


 

Jeff Norris, FAHP, CFRE

About Jeff

Jeff is an accomplished non-profit leader with over 25 years of experience in the healthcare and post-secondary sectors. As President and CEO of Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation, he is currently supporting a $1.49 billion expansion project, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to exceptional patient care. Under Jeff's leadership, the Foundation successfully completed a $100 million fundraising campaign for the Jim Pattison Acute Care Tower, further enhancing the hospital’s capabilities. His impactful career spans various non-profit organizations, including the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Kidney Foundation, Kwantlen Polytechnic University, and St. Paul's Hospital Foundation.   

Recognized for his outstanding community leadership, business acumen and philanthropy, Jeff received the University of Saskatchewan Alumni Association's achievement award in 2017 and the "Forty Under 40" Award by Business in Vancouver in 2013. Additionally, the Vancouver chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals honoured him with the 2014 Giving Hearts Award for Outstanding Professional Fundraiser. Jeff actively contributes to the profession through presentations, teaching, volunteer work, and serving on various boards including the Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) International Board of Directors from 2017 to 2023. Beyond his professional achievements, Jeff's dedication to his community and his role as a loving husband and father to two daughters exemplify the far-reaching impact he makes. 


 

Paul Richardson, FAHP, CFRE

System Senior Vice President, Major Gifts and Engagement

About Paul

Paul has connected donor passion to strategic purpose for over 24 years. He currently serves as the system senior vice president for major gifts, campaigns, and engagement at CommonSpirit Health. As the nation’s largest nonprofit health care system, CommonSpirit Health has a distributed fundraising model with over 80+ local fundraising foundations and one national foundation raising $300 million annually in support of health justice initiatives. During his 12 year tenure at CommonSpirit Health, Paul served as the interim vice president for the national Dignity Health Foundation, the president for the Sequoia Hospital Foundation, and a corporate director for the national philanthropy office.  

Prior to CommonSpirit Health, Paul served as the associate vice president for development and alumni relations at San Jose State University (SJSU), a campus within the largest system of higher education in the United States, California State University. During his tenure at SJSU, Paul served as a vital member leading the campus’ first comprehensive campaign, raising $250 million in five years for vital programs, research, scholarships, and endowment. Paul has also been involved in many nonprofit board leadership opportunities as well as helping several local organizations build capacity by expanding their donor base and overall reach. A native of Ohio, he holds degrees from both Bluffton University and Kent State University while now residing in San Francisco with his husband Sean.
