Q & A

  1. How did you get into health care philanthropy?
I was recruited into health care philanthropy by a hospital CEO that was building a replacement hospital for a long standing hospital. It was an incredible crash course in hospital and healthcare operations, as I learned it literally from the ground up as we built a new hospital. This education on operations set me up to better understand hospital operations and leadership within in healthcare. This education allowed me to have success in my role as CDO of the health system.

I don’t think there is one factor, it is the culmination of working hard, finding mentors and learning what do and what not do from each role I have been in during my career so far. My greatest passion is working and supporting super smart people that want to make an impact! I am never more fulfilled than when my team is rising to meet a challenge and succeeds. It is a privilege to get to a certain point in your career where you can work to support, promote and let other shines with their talents.
