Why Did AHP Cancel Leading Forward?

This was an incredibly difficult decision.  We believe that Leading Forward is a powerful opportunity to learn from one another and to spend time with colleagues across the AHP membership.  That said, given the quickly changing situation with COVID-19, we also know how critical it is for each and every one of you to be alongside your colleagues, preparing for all possibilities and ensuring that you are able to support the tough work should the situation arise. 

Will AHP Refund the Cost Of My Registration Fee?

Yes.  We are happy to refund the full registration fee.  We are also happy to hold it as a credit and apply it to a future AHP event or a membership renewal.  Please contact us via email  We are committed to getting back to you within 48 business hours.

Will the InterContinental Refund My Hotel Reservation?

Yes. You will need to call the hotel directly at 1-312-944-4100 or follow the cancellation link in the email that the hotel sent to confirm your reservation at least 72 hours prior to your scheduled arrival to cancel your reservation to ensure a full refund.

Will the Airline Refund My Ticket?

It will depend upon airline policy and the rules governing your specific ticket.  You should contact your airline directly.

Will AHP Refund My Airline Ticket Costs?

Unfortunately, no.  We are happy to provide documentation that the event was cancelled if it is helpful in your conversations with the airlines.  

Will AHP Reschedule Leading Forward?

We are as disappointed as you are that we have had to cancel the event and have already begun looking into options to bring the terrific content we had planned to our membership in the coming months.  Stay tuned – we will be in touch soon.

Will Any Sessions Be Made Available Virtually?

This is one of the options we are considering.  As soon as we know, we will make sure that you do.

Does AHP Plan to Cancel Other Upcoming Events?

As of now, all future AHP events are still happening as scheduled.  We are evaluating each upcoming meeting individually and will take necessary precautions based on local recommendations in each city where the meeting is taking place, national guidance on travel, and the impact on constituents from member institutions where travel restrictions have been implemented.  We will commit to making any changes to upcoming events at least 14 days prior to the event start.
