Michelle has dedicated her life to the profession of philanthropy. As President & CEO for St. Joseph’s Health Care Foundation in London, Ontario, she is a recognized leader in Canadian healthcare philanthropy for her deep expertise in board governance, foundation management, strategic planning and transformational donor work. Michelle has served AHP as a member of the International Board of Certification, on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Association for Healthcare Philanthropy and as Chair of the Regional Roundtable. In 2025, she joined the Madison Institute faculty.
In addition to her executive leadership, Michelle has focused on improving the profession through education. She designed and delivered fundraising and nonprofit leadership programs at Western University, Fanshawe and Brescia Colleges, in addition to frequently presenting at regional and international conferences, and as an international faculty member of the Fundraising Institute of Australia (FIA) “Madison Down Under” program. For her work in Australia, she was recognized as an Honourary Life Member of FIA (HMFIA). In Canada, she serves on the Imagine Canada Standards Council which sets the professional standards for formal accreditation of Canadian charities.
